Windows another computer

need another computer. what i have so far from the last computer i built:

need advice on the motherboard and that other thing that goes with the motherboard. i forgot what it was called. it's like the motherboard's brother and they go together. that thing. the i5 quad core i have now is not sufficient, i7 8x cores if possible but i've never gone over quad core so idk if there's some special shit i have to do with the OS or whatever.

i wont need a HDD/GPU for this computer but the multiple SSDs are used to separate the virtual machines (host too many VMs on one HD and you get intermittent data loss). so if you know of any better SSDs for frequent disk writing let me know.

so mentioning anything i'm forgetting/things i'll need/things that would make this more efficient would be appreciated.
