Crush Strike Question

I have a question about the skill because its damage at times seems insanely powerful. Does cards affect it? Like cards that boost damage by a percentage on certain targets? Also does it take the element of your weapon or is it forced neutral? Other information would be nice since their's a lack of information about it other then its damage formula.

Also is it the same with Storm Blast?
