DO YOU NERDS LIKE VINTAGE BIKES?

I bought some xs650s, ones going to be a tracker...the other probably a hard tail if i ever get fucked to do it...maybe some time next year.

When I brought 'em home...already pulled the engine out of one.



Took the engine out of the other and did some more stripping

And frame I'm gonna use



All the shit that came off the frame. Electronics, instruments, and the wiring harness...A lot of this is gonna go. I'm going to use a 2.5" speedo/tach, it's going to be kickstart only so I'm removing a lot of the unnecessary electronics as well(starter safety relay, starter solenoid, some sort of bullshit light safety relay). I ordered an 8 cell ballistic lithium ion battery, and I'm going to put everything in a very small custom battery tray that's going to ride under the seat

I have a couple shipments coming in and a few more pictures to take.

I have the cylinders honed and some pistons cleaned up, and some new rings that I need to get pictures of.

I have one shipment that got in full of seals and gaskets, and I'm waiting on another full of shit to get here from socal with my new fork springs, new rear dampers+springs, chains(drive and cam), various bushings and bearings, and my new battery


If all goes according to plan, I should have it running by late october.
