AMzo's guide to FAS WoE sniper ;
I see so many people trying to use FAS/SS but with wrong items/builds etc. I've decided to write a small guide on FAS.

1. What kind of skill is FAS?
With this guide I'm mainly focusing on WoE and using it effective, it's not an easy class and requires a decent amount of consumables to really dish out the hurt.
Cast Time 2 sec
Cool Down 1.5 sec
Req. Weapon Class Bow
Ammunition Required 1 Arrow
Effect Arrow attack that will affect every enemy in a 3 cell wide corridor along its flight path up to its maximum range of 14 cells. The corridor is a straight line between the caster and its target.
If the target is closer than 14 cells, the corridor will continue up to its full length. It affects all enemies along this path with an increased ATK (by 50% per SkillLV) and a +20 bonus to CRIT.
Other Notes
You cannot cast more than 13 instances of this skill before the first one expires.
Level Description
1 +20 CRIT, +50% ATK
2 +20 CRIT, +100% ATK
3 +20 CRIT, +150% ATK
4 +20 CRIT, +200% ATK
5 +20 CRIT, +250% ATK
So we can see, it is a 9 cell castrange buy will fly 14x3broad cells total, it can crit and is based off attack.
With this is mind we can now build around the skill focusing on maxing our ATK and CRIT. Since it's a spammable skill in strings the main idea is to
stack as much damage as you can to "cleave" as many targets as you can. While 8-10k single target DPS doesn't sound that great, the moment you can
deal that damage to multiple people at a safe range the damage starts to get really high.
The main point, is to stack as much damage =/= pressure on the enemy's guild.
2. Gear and Builds
Now that we've established the main goal of our build we can start making a build, what stats are important?
DEX -- Need it for ATK and atleast 150 so you can instant cast FAS.
AGI -- Attack speed for spamming FAS
VIT -- Health and stun resist
A hard part of building FAS is balancing AGI and VIT =/= aspd vs stun resist. Since this is iRO I like going for a decent amount of VIT due all the gypsies.
DEX
I usually aim for 170 total dex for max damage, this stat can't really be changed, maybe go 160 if you lack gear/money etc.
VIT
Aim for 70-80 total vit, enough to not get perma stunned and still have points for AGI. As long as you can get 3 FAS off per second ( which is iRO's cap )

Gear ;
I won't trouble you with putting all the calcs and charts, me and many other people have tested what the best available gears are for FAS. There are multiple
options though.
Gearset 1 ;
Alice doll : Nightmare Card, there isn't really any better headgear card. Sleep immune and AGI is pretty important
Robo-Eyes : Dex and ATK, what else do we want.
Pirate Dagger : ATK, can be switched for Well-chewed Pencil if you're lacking DEX
Elite Archer Suit +3 DEX : Marc or Evil Druid ( cant get provoked with ED ) I prefer Marc
Combat Boots : Matyr Card, I prefer the 1 AGI above the 1 VIT from Green Ferus
Commander's Manteau : Noxious, please do not get Raydric. Most of the damage you'll get is ranged and Asura will 1 shot you anyway.
Medal of Honor (Archer) x2 : This item is so good its insane, it gives us ATK,CRIT and some HP/SP
Orc Archer Bow + Steel Arrow : No BG bow indeed, the 10% demihuman from Alice Doll with the 50% from OAB is more then the demihuman from BG bow. Just like how 2x 20% Race + 2x 20% Element
is better then just 4x 20% Race.
This build requires you to use converter ( wind or earth because they do not get reduced by Valk Shield ) or Aspersio ( the best ) from a Priest, else you'll do neutral damage and won't bypass
Raydric users.
Gearset 2 ;
+7 Little Feather Hat : Nightmare Card
Valorous Battle CrossBow + Sharp Arrow
You still use BG set + medals.
This build is a bit more DPS but harder to get, Sharp Arrows are a bit harder to make then Steel and LFH isn't available much. You'll reach almost 100% crit with the Sharp Arrows though, not really needing
Gloria or Lady Luck anymore. You need to use converter again.
Status Gear ;
Earth Bow + Earth Arrow -- Plankton card, Earth Bow actually Stone Curses people instead of "Darkness". SC+Sleep really screws people over who have devo but aren't wearing Nightmare or ED
Silence + Curse Comp Bows -- Good, but not as good as Earth Bow
Use Orc Archer Bow + Steel Arrow and Cursed Water to break emps.
Use Orc Archer Bow + Steel Arrow to shoot cades.
Aim for ;
170 DEX
80 VIT
Rest AGI
If you don't have +3 DEX armor you can use +1/2 and use a WCP instead of Pirate Dagger.
LFH+BG Bow already gives you 3 DEX so you don't even need +DEX BG Armor
KVM Bow is the strongest bow, don't build around the 2 DEX from BG Bow
Strongest is Giant Majestic Goat/Large Bapho Horns, the one that gives +ATK based on job with KVM BoW

3. Consumables
This is where it starts getting expensive, I've sepereted mandatory from extra, more expensive mats.

Box Of Resentment ; 150-200 DPS in WoE
Aloevera ; 150~ DPS in WoE
LUK Food ; doesn't do thát muchsi
Agi/Bless Scrolls ; When you get dispelled ( which shouldn't be happening )
Cursed Water ; for hitting emps
Try to be in a party with a priest and tell him to use Gloria at the start of GvG, its a big DPS booster. Same with Impositus Manus and Asperio. I friend a priest and use /hi macro, which
sends a message to all your friends ;
/hi ** REBUFF SNIPER **
/hi ** IMPO MANUS + ASPERSIO PLEASE **
/hi ** GLORIA PLEASE **
And bind those to Alt + 1-3 , press Alt+M to open up the macro menu.
4. Positioning
Ah, the diffrence between mere Archer and true Snipers. FAS works kind of clunky on iRO. Luckily you don't really have to bother with testing since I've done it already!
FAS on iRO only flies in a straight ; vertical,horizontal or diagonal line. I'll try show with a little illustration
This means you should ONLY use FAS in those straight lines ( you can have 1-2 cells variation depending on range, for me I only shoot straight line or 1 cell up/down ).
If you try shooting FAS in any other angle then this it will ONLY hit the first target making you lose alot of DPS.
So how do I optimise my FAS shooting time? This is where a nice trick comes in play. Remember how FAS is 9 cells cast range but flies 14 cells, if you use /ns you can cast
FAS on your own guild ( won't damage them ) and the arrow will still fly 14 cells! This means you can actually use FAS out of dispel and bomb range ( 9 cells ) from the safety
of your own guild/stack. So just stand in the back of your group and FAS your own frontline with /ns on. 14 cells range means it will hit the other side of the screen! Just always
make sure you in a nice line, a trick I use is to stand in the middle of my stack and just FAS the middle person on our frontline.
To stack in the middle of your guild, just walk through them and hit First Aid to stop walking, this is the easier way to do it. ( And how I do it also! )
But what If you can't get a decent straight line? You switch to Arrow Shower status, if you aren't able to hit more then 2 people with FAS it's not worth it and you're better off
using Arrow Shower.
5. Role in WoE
Obviously your role is to DPS, but there some basic rules I hold on to when playing FAS sniper.
- If an enemy is exposed/out of place don't be scared to assist DPS with Double Strafe ( remember to switch to Alice Doll if you're using Little Feather Hat!! )
- If an enemy is exposed but spamming hide, you spam detect, better to lose some DPS but help your guild get an important kill
- Switch to Arrow Shower status if you can't get a nice FAS angle
- Always stay in the back, with the /ns trick there is NO need to be even close to bomb or dispel range. Just chill in the back
- Min/max and optimising FAS time is the key to keep up constant FAS pressure, keep your buffs and consumables up and never stop FASing
- Swap to Cranial/Feather Beret when missclick or moving around the castle
- When killing cades, you can click on the cell next to the cade to stand in a perfect line to hit all the cades!
- with such high DEX and ASPD with Orc Archer Bow + Steel Arrow and Cursed Water you can hit Emps decently, you can snipe the Emp if the enemy
is defending on it!
- Dont bother FASing if you dont have atleast 160+ DEX, 178+ ASPD, 2x Medallion, DMG Headgears, Correct bow+arrows and converters.
- Never FAS if you're not wearing full ATK gear.
Here's a video from a test server, I have my standard build and shooting FAS on a target wearing Thara Frog + Asummptio( counting that as WoE reduction ) , this is how hard you'll be
hitting the enemy frontline. Ofcourse targets with more reducs will take less damage ( their mid and backline ) but you're still hitting them for like
3.5k+.
This is without Gloria and Impositus Manus then the hits become 4000-4200
