So guys,
just yesterday my old tower died on me and atm I am left only with not a really good notebook, so I am looking for a replacement for the tower.
I am mostly using my PC for games and emulation of other systems (like playstation etc.), I am not using any professional programs for graphics nor I plan to. But when it comes to the emulation, my old tower couldn't properly run most games on playstation 2 emulator, so I would like my new computer to be at least able to run that.
ATM I am thinking about getting:
CPU: i7 4770 (quad core, virtually eight core, 3.4 GHz, turbo boost to 3.9 GHz)
GPU: GeForce GTX 760 (2GB memory, 1GHz)
RAM: 16 GB DDR3 Kingstone (2x 8GB)
Harddisk: SSD 240 GB (I have about 2TB on multiple external HDDs, so I only need space for system and most used apps)
DVD drive/burner (just incase I need something, I don't think I used a dvd in two years. I definitely don't need blu-ray)
Basically I am pretty sure that these specs should be decent but still it's quite a money sink, so I guess I want an advice or two if there isn't anything that I should change/upgrade to better fit the rest. I want the computer to last for few years without upgrading parts.
Also I never overclocked anything before so I also want to ask if I should do some overclocking on gpu/cpu when I get the PC. I don't plan on buying any extra cooling.
Thanks in advance.
